NOT! Back to School Bowling (in pajamas)

By A.K. Age 11
The day public school started all the home-schooled kids gathered at the bowling alley at Ramstein Air Base. No one had to get dressed that day, because students were encouraged to show up in their pajamas. Children  split up into age groups so they could meet new friends. It was quite a sight: 72 home-schooled kids in pajamas, bowling on the first day of school! There were so many kids there, that UHSG took up 15 lanes. Everyone was able to bowl two games and to eat lunch together. Sarah K., age 14, said, “I bowled my first strike of the year with great friends.” It was a really fun way to start the school year. Many look forward to attending this annual event again next year.
